The Records Department maintains current criminal records, court files, and FBI Uniform Crime Reports pertaining to the Tama County Sheriff's Office. The staff complies, maintains, and disseminates information from all criminal documents generated within the office, as well as those received from outside law enforcement agencies.
We deal with everything from crimes, arrests, traffic accidents, property damage/thefts, and missing persons. This information is recorded in the Tama County Sheriff's Office database. We also establish and maintain criminal history records for all arrests; and coordinate records management functions for the entire department.
